How does X-Spam for Exchange 2000-2003 work?
X-Spam for Exchange 2000-2003 fights Spam at two levels:
- Before accepting mail at the mail protocol layer: If a
connecting mail server is listed in a Spam sending black
list, mail is not accepted from it.
- After mail has been accepted, it goes through a series
of special filters that add to the total Spam score of the
mail. A Spam threshold is assigned. If the mail crosses
the threshold then it is tagged as Spam.
