Technologies eScan Virus Control "An innovative software for the security

Today, not requested publicity (spam) and vulnerability
against virus are the main negative aspects for normal internet users. In the

slightly different approach as its competitors by using a little technological
innovation and a sufficiently flexible and easy-to-use interface. The driver
of eScan analyses all connections to the mail server, and therefore checks whole
e-mail traffic, independently of the mail client used. The current version of
eScan controls mail servers with SMTP/POP3 protocol but not IMAP protocol. Today,
most of the mail traffic works with POP3 but the use of IMAP in big organizations
is increasing, so eScan is more useful for private users and small offices. It's
possible to work with servers which do not use the standard ports (25 and 110)
but it doesn't allow a multiple configuration, therefore all servers need to use
the same port.
The spam will be blocked using the standard approach of
linguistic control of key words; this approach is sufficient to block simple kinds
of spam, but to fight sharp spammers it needs more sophisticated tools than eScan,
with more advanced filters. The software includes a module to monitor the virus
on the file system with the classic options of hard disk scanning, and a kernel
driver which checks in a transparent way every EXE-file which had been copied
or run on the hard disks. MicroWorld Technologies sends via e-mail or a system
similar to Microsoft Windows Update the updates of the virus list, in base on
the service bought. Finally, eScan is a software which doesn't have huge hardware
or software needs, supports all OS from Microsoft, and represents a reasonable
alternative to software which is more known but is less flexible."

wins best content security and anti-virus award
eScan product was awarded
the best content-security and anti-virus award at a glittering function held in
New Delhi, India, on the 31st of October, 2003. The award was conferred on MWTI
by VAR Magazine.
Along with MicroWorld, the other awards for best products
were HP, Samsung etc. There were over 600 attendees, mainly end-users, corporate
IT heads and resellers. The award gave MicroWorld a solid platform to push its
technology and products.
This award will certainly pitch us to the forefront
